The Old Plateau Cemetery is one of the most historically significant burial grounds in the region. Founded by survivors of the Clotilda, it is the final resting place of many of the original founders of Africatown and their descendants.
This sacred ground stands as a testament to resilience, heritage, and the enduring legacy of a people who preserved their identity and culture against extraordinary odds.
